The Moon & Sixpence had a busy – but very enjoyable – Halloween, with shows in various parts of the country. It was wonderful to see the interest in live family-oriented performance, taking place in some great venues.
Ireland’s traveling marionette theatre was in Longford, as part of the Aisling Children’s Arts Festvial, where we performed “Little Red Riding Hood” at St Joseph’s Primary School and at the Backstage Theatre.
County Offaly’s Hullabaloo Festival hosted the Moon & Sixpence at the Family Resource Centre hall in Clara and at the Birr Theatre and Arts Centre, where we performed “Over the Rainbow”.
Halloween itself saw the marionette theatre in Ashbourne, County Meath, where we gave two performances in a lovely space within the County Library – inside the former Council Chamber, actually. This is probably not the first time that such dramatics were played out in that room!
